Michael & Anie Hepher
Letterpress Printer, Textile and Fibre artist
Married in creativity and general mischief, Anie Radish (Hepher) and Michael Hepher have been working hard to bring the love of color, fibre, print and song to Fernie since 2011.
Anie Radish is Kootenay kid having lived somewhere between the Selkirk, Purcell, and Lizard mountain ranges since 1995. She is a self-taught sewist, knitter, embroiderist and comes from a long line of makers and creatives. Anie acquired her early stitching and needle skills (and the insatiable love of making), on the lap of her seamstress mother and a bold home economics teacher.
Anie loves to make whimsical things to hold and behold. She tunes into the channel of useful, playful and comforting in her line of crochet goodies and handmade clothing. Her creations rely on bold colour choices: upcycled, local and organic materials are used whenever available. Anie loves to bring connection between all generations and loves how the slow process of craft and stitching is something for all ages to appreciate.
