Helena De Jong
Potter
Helena is a self-taught potter living in beautiful Fernie BC with her husband and two children. She draws inspiration from the mountains and rivers around her home, the earth in her backyard, a childhood on the west coast, and the magic that is life through her little ones’ eyes. Helena has been making pottery casually since 2013 but is now pursuing ceramics part-time. Her other artistic interests include quilting, sewing clothes for her children, and creating stained glass with her mom. She loves teaching workshops and working with the Fernie Potters Guild to help build up the local ceramics community!
